How come my heat or cool setpoint keeps changing without my knowing?

A 3 degree separation is maintained between the heating and cooling setpoints at all times.

For example, the cooling setpoint CANNOT be set below the heating setpoint. The thermostat will "push" the heating setpoint down to maintain the 3 degree separation. The same is true for raising the heating setpoint above the cooling setpoint.

The 3 degree separation avoids both heating and cooling being enabled at the same time in auto mode. Click here to learn more about auto mode.

What are the vertical bars on the right side of the screen?

This is a heating status graph. Whenever the thermostat is actively heating a room, the heating status graph will display the heating percentage. It's roughly correlated with heating power.

  • No bar: 0%
  • 1 bar: 1-25%
  • 2 bars: 26-50%
  • 3 bars: 51-75%
  • 4 bars: 76-100%
